Communicate updates regularly to the lead writer, manager, and/or director as requested.Increase knowledge of Crestron products and services, including new company initiatives and related new products.Adopt new techniques for developing and publishing quality product documentation deliverables. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.The Technical Writer shall work under the leadership of the Technical Documentation Manager, and in cooperation with other team members to manage documentation tasks, resources, and procedures that are part of daily operations and/or standard operating procedures.RESPONSIBILITIESResearch, write and, edit technical documents such as user manuals, installation guides, specifications, quick starts, product web pages, and tutorials for Crestron products and services.Assimilate and convey technical material clearly and concisely.Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.Coordinate the display of related graphics and/or utilize supplemental images, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate the material.Maintain updates to existing documentation, as well as project schedules and target dates. The Technical Writer must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.The Technical Writer shall rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of related tasks. The Technical Writer shall be responsible for the display of supplemental graphics and the overall production of the document. The Technical Writer shall be responsible for the design, creation, publication, and delivery of technical documentation for Crestron’s commercial and residential products.
